General Information

Mountain Park is a gated community in Madison County, North Carolina, located 2.5 miles north of Mars Hill. Incorporated in 2005, Mountain Park currently consists of 67 developed properties surrounded on three sides by mountains exceeding 3,000 feet in elevation. There are 34 homes built in Mountain Park at this time with 5-6 miles of privately maintained roads, underground utilities, and fiberoptic cable for internet access.

Located less than 10 minutes from I-26, 15 minutes from Weaverville, and 25 minutes from downtown Asheville, Mountain Park is nevertheless a peaceful mountain retreat, surrounded by opportunities for hiking, fishing, biking, and numerous other outdoor activities.

Mountain Park Homeowners Association has restrictive covenants, including guidelines for building and land use, which are designed to keep the community attractive and enjoyable for all property owners. Communal properties for use by the community include a clubhouse and a tennis court. The clubhouse has a workout room, television, and a pool table, as well as generous indoor and outdoor meeting space, and a full kitchen. The annual assessments are primarily used for maintenance of these communal properties, along with maintenance of the grounds and roads.
